It is necessary to provide education in the field of leadership. It adds value in more ways than one to an organization, to society, and to families as well. The reason why leadership is critical is that it helps each entity evolve and get to a better place. The right leadership can certainly make a difference and add value to many people’s lives.

Thankfully, one can find it within the books in many areas that can teach several principles to the leaders of tomorrow. Indeed, books are one’s best friend. Reading books and having thoughtful lessons can transform our personality overall. Books based on topics such as communication, leadership, confidence, empowerment play a significant role in building character and uplifting one’s personality.

Therefore, many people, especially students, are advised to read books during their teenage years to bring about a positive change in their personality and improvement in their skills. Here are some books which will help in building leadership skills.

The Leader Who Had No Title- Robin Sharma
The author of the book, Robin Sharma, is an experienced person who has served quite a few years as a leadership consultant. In this book, he explains what he taught his employees over the years. The author briefly describes the barriers and obstacles one faces to become a leader and overcome those barriers and cross those obstacles.

The author also addresses his audience, explaining that it is not essential to possess a title or have people working under a leader; instead, they have emotional and mental strength with good personality traits to become a leader.

Emotional Intelligence 2.0 — Travis Bradberry
This book is undoubtedly a great read as it has a testimonial by the Dalai Lama. This book talks about emotional intelligence as we already have more miniature books addressing emotional intelligence. Hence, this is a must-read. This book talks about how an individual’s EQ connects with another individual emotionally and can build feelings like empathy and generosity.

Leaders Eat Last — Simon Sinek
This book explains how power is different from leadership as power can get anything done by anyone. However, this is not a characteristic of a leader. Instead, a leader builds a team of people he values, contributing and emotionally, physically, personally, and professionally developing.

These are a few books that add value for the leaders of today and tomorrow.
